Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge admits he has been thoroughly impressed since Jurgen Klopp took over at Anfield.

The German has implemented the 'gegenpressing' style that worked so well for him at Borussia Dortmund and striker Sturridge feels it has already impacted so positively on the Reds who produced a stunning 4-1 win over Manchester City on the weekend.

"Very impressed," said Sturridge of Kolpp on Soccer AM. "He came in during the first week in which I was training, he put his style on us straight away and he trains you exactly how he wants you to play.

"He's very involved, all action, very intense and wants you to perform at your best level in training every day.

"That's what everyone does on the training pitch, give 100%, and we go into the game with the same mentality."
