The return of Danny Ings on Tuesday night was a pleasing moment for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The 23-year-old striker received his first action of the season when coming on in then 63rd minute of Tuesday night's 3-0 EFL Cup win over Derby County.
Ings made one appearance under Klopp last season after returning from a knee injury and the German was delighted to again reward him for his hard work with some much-needed game time.
"Ingsy, we gave him half an hour and that was really good," said Klopp.
"Of course [it was good to see him]. It was a difficult time [for him], I know this but, like all the others, he's on a really good way and everybody can see this, I'm pretty sure.
"In bigger or smaller spaces, I don't know, we will see what will happen but he's still an important player for us and all good."
