Klopp hails his captain: Liverpool dressing room follows Henderson example

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp paid tribute to skipper Jordan Henderson in his match programme notes last night.

Henderson was superb for victory over Champions League opponents PSG - which was predicted by Klopp.

He wrote: “Everyone recognises they must be ready in each and every moment. No-one demonstrates this more than our captain, Hendo.

“I know him long enough to see he is not someone who dances and celebrates not being selected to start games, but he has led from the front when it comes to showing that each and every player has a contribution to make each day - not just matchday.

“Jordan signed a new contract during the international break and this was wonderful news for the team and the club, but it was a big boost for me as a manager also.

“The dressing room follows his example on many levels but not least the intensity and commitment he shows to every element of his professional life."
