Klopp betters Shankly, Paisley to break Liverpool record

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has broken a club record ahead of managerial greats Billy Shankly and Bob Paisley.

With victory at Champions League rivals Porto last week, Klopp has now won more away games by five goals or more than any other manager in the club's history.

Last week's Porto pummelling was the fifth such win under the German, surpassing Bob Paisley and Gerard Houllier's total of four.

WE Barclay and John McKenna, Liverpool's first two managers, secured three such wins, while Bill Shankly, Rafael Benitez and Brendan Rodgers achieved such a margin of away victory twice.
