Jozy Altidore has the ability to become a quality player for the USA according to manager Juergen Klinsmann.
The 23-year old AZ Alkmaar striker has netted 25 goals in all competitions this season and although he has not scored for the US since June 2011, Klinsmann is confident he will frequently add to his international tally of 12 from 55 outings as he continues to develop.
"In his stage where he is right now, 23 years of age, I wasn't even national team at that point," Klinsmann told The Associated Press.
"(He is) a young player coming through, developing, making mistakes, correcting. Eventually he will score also the goals for us (as he does at club level).”
