Juergen Klinsmann was delighted with his USA side's 6-1 victory over Belize in the CONCACAF Gold Cup on Tuesday.
A first-half hat-trick from Chris Wondolowski plus additional goals from Stuart Holden, Michael Orozco and Landon Donovan (penalty) gave the US a comfortable win in Portland and Klinsmann's appetite for a commanding performance was sated by the result.
"First of all, thank you to a fantastic crowd in Portland. It was wonderful to experience, and the players were curious how it would be," he said.
"It lived up to the expectations. We took it seriously, and the team was focused and wanted to get the goals, and they did. Therefore we are very satisfied."
The US, who now top the Group C table, next take on Cuba at the Rio Tinto Stadium on the weekend following their 3-0 defeat to Costa Rica.
