USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann is backing DeAndre Yedlin for success in the Premier League.
Seattle Sounders and USA fullback Yedlin will join Klinsmann's former club Tottenham in January.
He told the London Evening Standard: "He is an exciting kid and he is thrilled to come to Tottenham. He is a kid who wants to learn. He will listen to the coaching staff and to his team-mates. He has a tremendous amount of talent and if he finds the right support and help, it can only go in the right direction.
"We are proud that he is making that step, and everyone in Seattle is proud that this transfer is happening. To play consistently in the Premier League it will take a lot of work, but he is willing to put that work in and in time, he will do his job."
