Wolfsburg defender Simon Kjaer has completed his AS Roma medical.
The Danish international will join the Italian club from Wolfsburg in order to replace Philippe Mexes, who moved to Milan on a free in the summer.
"I'm very happy to be here at Roma," the former stopper, who worked with Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini at Palermo, noted.
"It took me just five seconds to say yes when Sabatini called me. There is a great project here and I'm happy to be back in Italy.
"Last season was difficult for me, but I spent two years in Italy with Palermo and I hope to have a good time in Rome."
