Burnley teenager Cameron Howieson became the club's youngest international when he was capped by New Zealand on Wednesday.

Burnley teenager Cameron Howieson became the club's youngest international when he was capped by New Zealand on Wednesday.

The youngster, at just 17 years and 153 days, made a 72nd-minute substitute appearance for the Kiwis in their 2-2 draw against El Salvador in a friendly in Houston, USA.

Howieson, who recently signed a two-year professional contract with the Championship club, is now hoping to add to his senior caps during New Zealand's tour of the US and a qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup in the Solomon Islands.
