Former Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has paid tribute to Roberto Martinez.

Martinez resigned as Latics manager this week and is expected to move to Everton.

"He's never stops, he's very driven and motivated and he wants to challenge himself," Kirkland told talkSPORT.

"Wherever he does go next they know they'll get a manager that puts everything into the job and making the club better, which he has done at Wigan."
