Kinnear remains cautious following Houston 3-1 win over FC Dallas

With his team taking the overall lead in a MLS combined table, Houston Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear wants his team to remain cautious even with a big lead.

Speaking at the post match press conference following his team's 3-1 away victory in Dallas Kinnear said, "It was OK. We started out a little dead, about 10 minutes in, but the first goal helped to settle us down. We took advantage of the opportunities we had tonight and as the game went on we were a bit tired and fatigued so for us it was about team shape.

"Pat (Onstad) really makes a great save and it could be 1-1. With that Ferreira guy running around, their movement gave us problems in the first half. I think our communication and spacing was a bit out of wack and we did a better job in the second half of remaining together and not chasing the ball and ball-watching.

"There is always a concern. It was 3-0 for a while and you have a little bit of a cushion. Pat makes a great save again to keep it 3-1 and then at times I thought we had some good possession. We knew they were going to throw guys forward but the guys were in the box attacking the ball but I thought it held out pretty well."
