With a three goal lead after 20 minutes at home, Houston Dynamo had easily done enough to secure the three points against a lack lustre Toronto FC.
Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear was especially happy with his team's first half performance this weekend.
Speaking to reporters after the game Kinnear said, "The first half was fantastic. We came out with a great attitude; the goals were excellent. We continue to be dangerous on set pieces, which is nice to see, and we still create chances. We kept on going forward and saw the game out and played efficiently.
"I'm really happy; everyone played well. It was nice to see Kei [Kamara] keep his scoring going and Brad [Davis] staying bold. Stuart [Holden] was excellent tonight with Ricardo [Clark]. It's also nice to see Dominic [Oduro] get some time with us and get some minutes with the team. All in all really, really pleased with the guys and their hard work. Their good play is paying dividends."
