Joe Kinnear insists he's doing all he can to bring new signings to Newcastle United.

Director of football Kinnear is at the forefront of player acquisition following his appointment by owner Mike Ashley in June.

He said: "I'm well aware that everyone is concerned and rightly so, but I'm not dragging my heels in any manner.

"I'm being sensible about the budget and am going to spend it as wisely as I can."
