Ledley King has handed Tottenham a boost with a return to preseason training.
The People says King, 30, has been beset by injury problems and was forced to miss the end of last season with a groin problem.
But he was able to join the likes of Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon as they started their preparations for the forthcoming season.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has already released Jonathan Woodgate this summer and cannot afford to start the new campaign without any of his big-name defenders.
