King pushing for 2-year Tottenham deal

Tottenham skipper Ledley King is pushing for a new two-year contract.

The London Evening Standard says King, Tottenham's longest-serving player, is seeking another two-year contract but those talks are some way from reaching their conclusion.

King's chronic knee problems prevent him from training regularly and make him susceptible to other injuries but he has still started 23 matches this term - the same number as Aaron Lennon.
