Adam King is hoping the £200,000 Swansea City paid Heart of Midlothian for his signature helps the struggling Edinburgh club enormously.
18-year old midfielder King signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Swans earlier this week and although he admits it is a dream move, he wants the transfer fee to help mend some financial wounds the Jambos are currently experiencing.
"I'm proud I've been able to help Hearts at a difficult time for everyone at the club," he told the Daily Record.
"They'll get a bit of money for me and hopefully will be able to sign a player to replace me in the squad.
"So it was a good deal for myself and for the club. It's a bit of payback for everything they've done for me.
"I'd been there from the age of nine and a lot of people, like John Murray, put a lot of work in to develop my game. It's great to give them something back.
"I hope it can help the club survive and get back to where they belong."
