Kilmarnock have handed trials to former Toulouse goalkeeper Damien Rascle. Killie boss Jim Jefferies said: "With Graeme Smith leaving and Cammy Bell being injured, we really need another goalkeeper.
"You need three goalkeepers, but you're limited when you are wanting to bring someone in as your third choice. There have been a few goalkeepers floating about, but they want to come as number one and play.
"He has done quite well in a practice game in Italy and in training. It's a bit early to make a decision, but he certainly looks the part. When we get back we may bring him over to Scotland, let him train with us and see how he is before we make a final decision.
"This is an area where we are a wee bit short in. Our other goalkeeper, Peter Logan, is just a young kid without any first team experience. He is training with the first team and is being brought on by that, and if Alan was injured then we'd have to put him on the bench as back-up to Chad.
"But we're looking to get in an experienced goalkeeper and Damien fits the bill."
