Latvia international goalkeeper Andrejs Pavlovs has been handed a week long trial with Kilmarnock. The 29-year-old has been capped by his country five times.
Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies may be forced into the January transfer market for a keeper if Killie number one Alan Combe, refuses to sign a contract extension.
Jeffries said: "We brought over a Latvian goalkeeper called Andrejs Pavlovs. He plays for the Latvian champions but their season has finished just now, so we brought him over this week and he will go back on Friday.
"He's played for Latvia a few times and FK Ventspils want him back, but we've had a look at him and he's done quite well.
"Just with Alan Combe's situation not being resolved yet, we're just looking at our options.
"But Alan had further talks with the chairman on Wednesday and it'll be onto the next meeting."
