Kilmarnock's Paatelainen to be named as Finland boss

Kilmarnock manager Mixu Paatelainen is set to be named the new Finland national team boss.

The 44-year old Finn will get the chance to lead his country when the Finnish FA appoint him as the replacement for Stuart Baxter who left the role in November last year.

Although the Finnish FA have not confirmed who their new boss will be, reports say that Paatelainen is almost a certainty following plenty of interest in him in the last few months.

The former Bolton and Wolves striker, who was capped 70 times by his country, recently turned down the Scunthorpe United job and is now set to become the 23rd manager of Finland.
