Kilmarnock's Eremenko looking for Rangers, Celtic move

Kilmarnock midfielder Alexei Eremenko does not expect to stay with the club when his contract runs out in the summer.

The 28-year old Russian-born Finland international is eyeing a move to either Old Firm club, Celtic or Rangers, and says he would love his future sorted out before the end of the season.

"I've been here for one year and, if I was staying in Glasgow, it means I would not have to pack my bags and not have to move because I have so many clothes," he said.

"I wouldn't have to change apartments so it would be a really good thing. I'll see what happens. If we are talking about Celtic, they have plenty of players and it would be more difficult there.

"Rangers, I don't know what's happening at Rangers now. I said to the people who are taking care of my situation that I want everything to be clear before the end of the season."

Asked if he thought he would be staying at Rugby Park past this season, Eremenko was not too hopeful.

"No, I don't think so. Of course, if the chairman wants to offer me something nice, I would consider it. But that's up to him," he added.
