Kilmarnock planning new signings following St Johnstone draw

Kilmarnock boss Allan Johnston is determined to sign some new players as soon as he can.

Killie were held to a 0-0 draw by St Johnstone at Rugby Park on Sunday and even though they managed to bring in former Arsenal youth and Southend United right-back Sean Clohessy on Friday, Johnston wants more reinforcements.

"We missed the deadline (to register Clohessy for the match) by a minute seemingly so he wasn't available for today. But it will give us good competition for places," he said.

"Young Mark O'Hara did extremely well at right back today so he is going to play a big part for us this season as well.

"Hopefully this week we will be bringing in at least another two or three players who will hopefully strengthen us again. That's the plan anyway."

Kilmarnock currently sits seventh on the Scottish Premier League table after starting the season with a 2-1 loss to Aberdeen as well as the weekend's draw.
