Kilmarnock move breaks down for Abdul Osman

Abdul Osman's Kilmarnock move has broken down after the player failed a medical.

The 21-year-old midfielder had agreed a two-year deal with Kilmarnock following his release from doomed Gretna.

"There's been a problem with Abdul's medical as he's had a back injury," admitted boss Jim Jefferies.

"It is an injury that could or could not come back, but if it did reoccur, he would require surgery to fuse the bones.

"We have had two surgeons look at it and they both agreed.

"It is unfortunate as we were looking forward to having Abdul but it is unlikely it will go ahead."

The news may interest Northampton who were set to sign the Englishman before Kilmarnock stepped in.
