Kilmarnock are hoping to sign Blackburn's Maceo Rigters, skysports.com reports. The Dutch striker came to prominence during the European U21 Championship in 2007, when he finished as top-scorer.

Blackburn beat a host of clubs to land him, but he has found his options limited at Ewood Park.

He has since spent time on loan at Norwich and Barnsley, but he returned to Blackburn and tasted some action in the FA Cup earlier this month.

But he now looks set for another loan spell, with Kilmarnock keen to strike a deal.
