The SPL sent an email out during the week claiming that all SPL bosses had agreed to reduce the pressure on officials by refraining from post-match criticism. Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies watched his side lose 1-0 to St Mirren at Rugby Park on Saturday then refused to speak about referee Steven O'Reilly.
Alluding to his earlier dissatisfaction at originally being snubbed by SPL executive chairman Lex Gold - "I read about it in an email" Jefferies continued: "I find it strange because there is a system in place.
"If you speak out against the referee you are up against the General Purposes Committee and you get away with it or fined.
"I don't see it changes anything but it's an idea someone has come up with and we have signed it so that's why I am not saying anything about the referee today."
