Mixu Paatelainen has held talks with struggling Championship outfit Scunthorpe but has decided to remain with SPL side Kilmarnock. Paatelainen also continues to be linked with the post of Finland coach.
"I had the chance to go down and speak to Scunthorpe but I came to the conclusion it is not for me," said Paatelainen in the Sunday Herald.
"I have made myself clear to them so I will stay at Kilmarnock.
"The club has been willing to sit down and talk about a longer contract which is great but we haven't come to an agreement yet, so we will see how that pans out.
"The Finnish FA will make up their decision in due course so I really don't know any more about that."
