Kilmarnock boss Johnston heaps praise on two-goal Boyd

Kilmarnock manager Allan Johnston was quick to praise Kris Boyd after his two-goal showing on Boxing Day.

The 30-year old striker scored his 10th and 11th goals of the Scottish Premier League campaign in the 4-0 victory at Heart of Midlothian on Thursday and his performance was certainly not lost on his boss.

"It's unbelievable, Kris scored two great goals and could quite easily have scored four or five," he said.

"He was in the positions again and that shows you the type of player he is."

The win, which was Killie's fifth of the season, lifted them to ninth on the table with 18 points from 18 matches.
