Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies believes his players are still being overlooked by the Scotland management. He hopes an extended run of positive results in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League will finally result in international recognition for some of his players.
"It's Kilmarnock and we don't get that much recognition here," he said.
"There have been two or three over the years who we have thought were worthy. But it's only when they move to other clubs that they get a chance.
"I'm just hopeful that George knows the route down to Kilmarnock and watches the games.
"We've started the season well and we had a great result at the weekend. If we can finish the season in the top six, I'm sure there will be players in the team worth looking at."
