Burnley chief Barry Kilby is confident manager Sean Dyche will have the players ready for their Premier League opener against Chelsea.
Kilby admits it will be a baptism of fire.
"We're starting in the Premier League with a bit of trepidation. I hope we're not going to be Brazil against Germany in the World Cup when we meet Chelsea," Kilby told the Sunday Express. "But I've got every faith in the manager Sean Dyche who has done such a good job.
"At the start of last season we were one of the favourites to go down from the Championship. We didn't spend anything and we sold our main striker Charlie Austin to QPR which balanced the books.
"Sean got frees in but somehow he got this team to gel. I think all Burnley supporters were waiting for the wheels to fall off at some stage. He did a brilliant job.
