Kilby: Burnley under no pressure to sell best players

Burnley chairman Barry Kilby insists they're not under pressure to sell their best players following relegation.

Kilby insists the club are under no pressure to sell their best players despite dropping back into the Championship.

"We are going down with one of the biggest budgets in the Championship and that's something I haven't been able to say in the past about Burnley," Kilby told his club's official website.

"So we are not frightened about going down and I want to keep as strong a squad as possible to allow us to challenge again next year.

"We don't have to sell players. Often in the past we have had to sell to balance the books and that is one big plus when we go into negotiations with players."
