Kilbane hails form of Everton winger Coleman

Former Everton midfielder Kevin Kilbane is happy seeing Seamus Coleman make his way this season.

Kilbane wrote in the Mail on Sunday: "It has been a very good start to the season for Seamus who has made the Everton right-back slot his own after maturing into the role last season.

"After a loan spell at Blackpool, which did him the world of good, David Moyes used him as a right winger and he got the odd game at right-back. Notably, for the bigger games, he would turn to Tony Hibbert, who was established as first choice full back.

"Technically, he still has improvements to make, but he knows that and he is a diligent worker on the training ground. He wants to improve and he is hungry to play football.

"He hasn't had the academy education of many of his team-mates, so he has been playing catch-up, but continues to make a pretty good job of it."
