Maccesfield striker John Rooney saw action against boyhood idols Everton in Saturday's FA Cup defeat.
The kid brother of Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, John, 18, and always a Blue, came on with time almost up and never had a chance.
"He'll have a moan, but he's got a bright future,' said Macclesfield manager Gary Alexander.
