Ki Sung-Yeung is confident Sunderland boss Paolo di Canio will play to his strengths this season.
The Swansea City midfielder has joined on a season-long loan.
“I know that the manager has done interviews in which he has said good things about me, which gives me a lot of confidence.
“When I was a kid, I saw him playing and I’m really looking forward to working with him as a manager of this team.”
On leaving Swansea, he added: "We won the cup and did well in the league and I wanted to show my quality to the people, but I didn’t get the chance this season to show my quality.
“So I’ve had to move to a club that wants me to show my quality.
“Always there’s pressure on the new boys, but I have to stay calm and show what I can do.
“The reason I have moved here is to play for Sunderland, show my quality and hopefully score goals. I really want to enjoy it.”
