Tottenham defender Bongani Khumalo has returned to the club following his loan spell with Preston North End.
The 24-year old South African has undergone surgery on his foot after picking up an injury in North End's 4-0 loss to Millwall on Saturday and has come back to White Hart Lane where he will begin his rehab in a bid to regain fitness for next season.
He is also keen to get back to action so he can help the South African team in a vital African Cup qualifier against Egypt in June.
"He'll be fine - it may take a bit of time to get back to full fitness after an operation but it's not too serious," Khumalo's agent Glyn Binkin said.
"He definitely won't play again this season but the experience of playing at Preston has been great for his game."
