Manchester City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak insists Carlos Tevez will not leave this summer.

Tevez has been linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid in recent weeks.

"Carlos Tevez has scored 29 goals and has been the heart and soul of this team," said Khaldoon. "He has been absolutely phenomenal.

"I have no doubt he's going to be the best player in the world - it is just a matter of time."
