Khaldoon excited about talent in Man City academy

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak is excited about the talent in their academy.

Al Mubarak also has an eye on the future, especially the progression of players from the academy into the first team.

"When you look at Financial Fair Play and how we manage the evolution of this club over the next 10 years, the academy is fundamental to our growth strategy and our success," he said.

"We need to have a continually successful programme that produces young talent into the first team.

"Already I think we have some wonderful players in the academy and in the reserve team, players which I think will be future superstars.

"I look at Karim Rekik, I look at Denis Suarez, these are extremely talented young players that could be the future superstars of this club."
