Manchester City have plans for world domination, admits chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak.
Khaldoon outlined his hopes that Manchester would now become the centre of world football.
The City chairman said: "There's no question in my mind that this is the most challenging and difficult league in the world to win and for us to pick up 89 points and not win it would have been criminal.
"As a club we look at teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, AC Milan, Bayern Munich and what they represent to their cities, to their communities, and what they have accomplished over many years.
"But it's incredible for the city of Manchester. There are not many cities around the world that have the strength these two clubs have and I think this is going to be a wonderful competition between us for many years to come."
