Kewell and Gelis in Galatasaray - a 'beautiful relationship'

Galatasaray star Harry Kewell has labelled his partnership with physiotherapist Les Gelis as a beautiful relationship. The Australian international has been seemingly injury free since arriving at the Istanbul club about 12 months ago and despite having early problems trying to settle in Turkey, Kewell now finds himself at ease in foreign surroundings and puts it down to the fact his physio has been there with him.

''It's been interesting, it's been a journey, I can say that,'' says Kewell.

''Obviously I haven't been here by myself.

''I've had my mate here Les, he works with me as my physio, we've had some good times and we've had some bad times.

''I think if we hit the nail on the head I think we'd say we miss our families the most and that's what we've found hard.

''We've pulled through together and we probably wouldn't have been able to do it if we weren't here together, plus we wouldn't be able to do it if these people [at Galatasaray] weren't respectful to us and vice versa.

''I think it's come into a beautiful relationship.''

Kewell has been in brilliant form for Gala, scoring 23 goals in 56 matches in all competitions and has helped the club to be three points off top spot in the domestic league and through to the knockout round of the Europa League.
