Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on midfielder Kevin Stewart for his performance in the EFL Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night.
The German manager described the 23-year-old as the best 'challenger' in his squad after putting in a strong performance in a defensive midfield role.
He said: "He was good, very good. He is very important.
"I've said it a few times, he is the best challenger in the squad. An outstanding challenger – one on one situations, he is really ugly to play against.
'He is a good footballer as well. A good player and a good game."
