Perth Glory coach Dave Mitchell has confirmed the club is after Birmingham City striker Kevin Phillips. There were rumours circulating last week the West Australian club were interested in the striker, but Mitchell has confirmed he is on their radar.
"That's not a rumour, that's a fact," said Mitchell.
"He's under contract but I have made some inquiries about him and he's a good player. He's old but he's very quick still, quick and darty.
"He was in the army, kept himself fit and he's a fit person and he's scoring goals in the Championship regularly for Birmingham, so if we get him, he'd be a great asset."
Phillips has a great goal scoring record in England with over 100 goals for Sunderland, and approximately another 120 with several other clubs.
