Former Arsenal and England defender Martin Keown was impressed by Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck's performance last night at Wembley.
Welbeck was on the scoresheet as England defeated Scotland.
Keown wrote in the Daily Mail: "Danny Welbeck was good at moving into a central position when the ball was on the right. He let Leighton Baines provide the width on the left.
"It paid off when he netted England's second goal, outjumping Grant Hanley. But sometimes when he is in possession, he just needs to be a bit more positive and move the ball quicker.
"England haven't always created many chances during the Roy Hodgson era and you could see part of the problem last night. There were quite a few occasions when England had the ball for long periods on the outside of the Scotland box but couldn't get in behind.
"In that situation, it's important to be patient, move off the ball lots and pick the right moment. I would like to see Tom Cleverley making more runs from deep in behind the opposition defence."
