Former Everton defender Martin Keown is a big fan of current stoppers Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka.

Keown was back at his old club recently.

"If you look at Distin, he seems to go from strength to strength," Keown told evertontv. "He is really powerful and no-one ever seems like they are going to outrun him.

"Jagielka has improved big time since he has been at the club. The amount of blocks that he makes - he seems to get in the way of everything - is not done by accident.

"It's instinctive and he reads the game very well. He has a real chance to play for England in the next World Cup."
