Arsenal hero Martin Keown was impressed by Everton defender Phil Jagielka in England's victory over Switzerland.
Jagielka has looked natural since his England return in the summer.
And Keown told the Daily Mail: "Phil Jagielka was very impressive at the heart of the defence. He was dominant in the air and on the ground, he was efficient in his tackling and he organised the backline well.
"The only downside was that his distribution - which was impressive at Wembley on Friday - let him down at times. His partner Joleon Lescott looked a bit leggy, though."
