Chelsea chief Peter Kenyon insists they want to keep star duo Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.
Kenyon told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek: "Frank has made the comments that he wants to stay. We've both decided we'll put it behind us until the end of the season.
"He's still got a year left on his contract. He is a great player by anybody's standards and of course we would like him to see his career out with us.
"Again Didier has come out and said that he was misquoted and we're not going to talk about that. Didier has got two years left on his contract and there is no reason why he shouldn't remain a Chelsea player."
