Kennedy scores as Nagoya Grampus continue J-League dominance

Josh Kennedy was on target again as Nagoya Grampus continued their dominance in the J-League. The Australian scored in the 69th minute of the league leaders' 3-1 home win over Gamba Osaka to maintain their five-point lead over second-placed Cerezo Osaka.

The goal was Kennedy's 11th of the season and keeps him on top of the scorers list.

In other J-League games, Urawa Reds striker Edmilson netted his 99th and 100th league goals in his 200th appearance as his side won 4-1 at Shonan Bellmare. Australian defender Matthew Spiranovic opened the scoring for Urawa who went to 11th on the table.

Cerezo Osaka won 1-0 at Kashima Antlers, Sanfrecce Hiroshima scored a 2-0 win away at FC Tokyo, Albirex Niigata won 2-1 at home against Kawasaki Frontale thanks to a Cho Young-cheol double, Yokohama F. Marinos defeated Kyoto Sanga 2-1, Jubilo Iwata defeated Shimzi S-Pulse 2-1 at home, Fernandinho scored twice to guide Vegalta Sendai to a 3-0 away win over Omiya Ardija whilst Montedio Yamagata and Vissel Kobe played out a scoreless draw.
