Kennedy scores as Nagoya Grampus continue J-League dominance
Josh Kennedy was on target again as Nagoya Grampus continued their dominance in the J-League.
The Australian scored in the 69th minute of the league leaders’ 3-1 home win over Gamba Osaka to maintain their five-point lead over second-placed Cerezo Osaka.
The goal was Kennedy’s 11th of the season and keeps him on top of the scorers list.
In other J-League games, Urawa Reds striker Edmilson netted his 99th and 100th league goals in his 200th appearance as his side won 4-1 at Shonan Bellmare. Australian defender Matthew Spiranovic opened the scoring for Urawa who went to 11th on the table.
Cerezo Osaka won 1-0 at Kashima Antlers, Sanfrecce Hiroshima scored a 2-0 win away at FC Tokyo, Albirex Niigata won 2-1 at home against Kawasaki Frontale thanks to a Cho Young-cheol double, Yokohama F. Marinos defeated Kyoto Sanga 2-1, Jubilo Iwata defeated Shimzi S-Pulse 2-1 at home, Fernandinho scored twice to guide Vegalta Sendai to a 3-0 away win over Omiya Ardija whilst Montedio Yamagata and Vissel Kobe played out a scoreless draw.

Keep up the good work Jesus! Say what you will about kennedy our boy knows how to score. Leaving him out the first WC final game was one of many Dutch mistakes. He should be our target man for years to come.
