Socceroos striker Josh Kennedy says he and his teammates are out to silence some doubters in Wednesday night's match against Japan.
Despite remaining undefeated throughout seven World Cup qualifying matches and not conceding a goal, various areas of the media have criticised the Socceroos for the brand of football being played.
Kennedy can't understand why there are doubters but hopes to silence them with a great performance at the Melbourne Cricket Ground tomorrow.
"For the whole of Australia, it's been great to top the group and have a great game and get another win under our belts," he said.
"There's been a bit of negative press in Sydney from the last game which is ridiculous. Just to shut those guys up and have a good game will be good.
"That's our mentality, we want to go out and win, it doesn't matter what game, who we are playing. We are going out there to win."
