Stoke City No2 Dave Kemp says the fans have a role to play in helping Kenwyne Jones regain his confidence and form.
Kemp has urged the fans to also not lose faith in Jones, believing their backing can go a long way to restoring his confidence.
"The crowd can play a big part in cheering him on," said Kemp.
"We need the fans to help us get Kenwyne back on track, and he will be a fabulous centre-forward for this club.
"Confidence is a big thing to players, and a goal will help. You don't know how it's going to come.
"But if you get yourself in there often enough then you'll end up scoring, and that's it, you're off and running again.
"After that, all of a sudden you are beating three people and smashing the ball in the back of the net."
