Melbourne Victory could welcome defender Matthew Kemp into its starting line-up for tomorrow night's vital clash with league leaders Brisbane Roar.
The 30-year old has been sidelined since early February after undergoing a knee reconstruction but is almost at full fitness after making some appearances for the Victory's youth team.
Tomorrow night, Kemp (or Thai defender Surat Sukha) could be called on by Victory coach Ernie Merrick who says he would have no hesitations in starting the returnee but was unsure if he would be able to give a full 90 minutes.
"We've trained him extra hard," Merrick said of Kemp.
"We could have brought him back two weeks ago.
"I think there's no problem in starting either of the players but I don't expect them to last for 90 minutes."
