Keller hopes for Fulham stay

Kasey Keller has hinted he could stay on at Fulham even if The Cottagers are relegated from The Premier League.

The American keeper has been handed the number one jersey by Roy Hodgson and he has done enough to keep Antti Niemi on the sidelines.

Keller is aware that all his efforts could be in vain, with Fulham currently six points from safety, but he has hinted he could be prepared to help them bounce back if they are relegated.

"Of course it would be even better if we were still in The Premier League," the 38-year-old said. "But I wouldn't rule out staying if that weren't the case.

"I've spent most of my professional career in London and I love it here.

"A couple of weeks ago we had a chat about staying next season. But it would have to be later on before we got down to serious talks about that."
