Kelechi likely to make way for Aguero and Silva despite Man City hat-trick

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is set to drop ha-trick hero Kelechi Iheanacho to make way for first-team regulars Sergio Aguero and David Silva for the mid-week trip to Sunderland.

The 19-year-old scored the first hat-trick of his professional career in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Aston Villa on Saturday but is unlikely to start at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday.

Aguero and Silva were unused substitutes in the game at Villa Park.

The Chilean manager said: "Both of them are fit, so probably they will be in the starting XI again.

"We must not just be amazed because Kelechi scored three goals. He's working every day with our squad so we know what he can bring to it.

"He is one player more in the squad and I think it is very important to choose the starting XI for every game."
